Help Make Fishing an Equal Opportunity Sport
As an avid fisherman, you know and enjoy the benefits of fishing: fresh air, fun, good health, friendships, the challenge, and so much more. However, many kids in the tri-state area lack access to lakes and rivers, fishing gear, and mentors that would allow them to enjoy such benefits.
As a sponsor you can change all of that. With your support today, you will help fund our camp programs and events that will break the barriers so fishing can flourish as a sport that is accessible and available to ALL kids regardless of their ability, ethnicity or economic status.

Why Donate?
Summer camp can create some of the best childhood memories for campers! Unfortunately, summer camps can be expensive and financially out of reach for many families. Data shows that kids that attend summer camp (especially sleep away) learn to be independent and make deep connections with their bunk mates, frequently making lifelong friends. Kids learn how to respect and appreciate others differences and become better at negotiating social interactions.
Children get used to living without electronics. This gives kids the opportunity to learn how to enjoy free time without staring at a screen.
Candlewood Fishing Camp is proud to partner with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southwest CT to send several kids to our camp. We need your help to make sure several local kids get a chance to fish for a full week and make new friends doing it!
